Sweet baby Shanks

Another "Aunt Whitty" post?! Yeh. I'm THAT crazy aunt.

Last week I had the blessing of hearing the tiny little heartbeat of my future niece or nephew. It was the most precious sound. I have never heard anything like it. I heard Carlee's heartbeat then the dr found the baby's heartbeat. I laughed and teared up at the same time.

It's amazing to think about all the little ways this baby will change and grow in the months to come. Little fingers and little toes, hair or no hair (if it takes after Carlee and myself), boy or girl! It is so exciting!

I was 7 years old when my mom was pregnant with Hunter. And I never attended a dr appointment with her. In fact, I wasn't even at the hospital when she had him. I was sitting in my 2nd grade class and the school secretary came in and announced that I was a big sister!

So, this experience is something new to me.  Watching Carlee's belly grow, hearing the heartbeat, thinking of baby names for a baby that's actually going to be here in a few months.. Not just for my future kids. It really is a going to be something I'll never forget. I hope this baby knows how much he or she is loved by Aunt Whitty.

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. -Psalms 127:3
