Unfailing Love

I am on the Encounter Kids planning team at church. A lot of my time is devoted to a wonderful bunch of children and I love getting to worship with them 3 Sundays a month. To hear them sing as loud as they can almost makes me tear up. They love My Best Friend by Hillsong United. Sweet little voices singing "Jesus, You are my best friend, You will always be, nothing will ever change that.." Yeah, one of the sweetest sound I've ever heard.

Once a month another volunteer does EK's worship for me and I sing in the regular church service. I have always loved to sing. Although it isn't much, I want to use up every bit of talent God has given me.

I was raised listening to southern gospel, my mom sings, my brother (Jordan) can play anything he picks up (seriously). When we were kids, our bedtime ritual consisted of a bible story and dad playing guitar and mom singing. Music has always been a comforting thing to me.

God has truly blessed Tanner and I. I want to give him the credit that is due and although it's premature and there aren't any details yet I can say that we have been praying about something for several months and out of nowhere an opportunity has fallen in our laps. Undoubtedly, God has worked things out for our good. And for that I'm beyond thankful.

We learned of this potential opportunity Friday. On Monday, I read this paragraph in my devotion:

God wants each of us to know that there is a time when He will restore in order to demonstrate His gracious hand in our lives. He is a loving Father who tenderly guides His children through the difficult places. If God has taken you through a time of leanness, know that He is the restorer of that which the locusts have eaten. Wait patiently for Him to bring this about in your life. He will do it. (When God Restores What the Locusts Eat TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1, by Os Hillman 03-10-2014)

He never fails us. Sometimes we feel like we've been forgotten and all of our prayers are in vain. Trust me, He hears you. Don't give up.

Sunday I am singing Unfailing Love by Chris Tomlin. I couldn't find a good youtube video to link, but I encourage you to listen to it. My favorite lyric says "And everything You hold in Your hands, still You make time for me.. I can't understand."

There are much bigger issues in this world than the things Tanner and I have been facing. But He hears and answers my prayers. He'll do the same for you. His love is unfailing. His timing is perfect.
